Hi Everybody!! It's been another fantastic year for Hed Kandi in Ibiza and I've loved every minute of it! We moved the opening party forward a week, which meant that we had a slightly longer summer, which is only ever going to be a good thing. In general, the island also had another great summer, with many of the clubs and promoters breaking records. Tracks for me that were really doing it were Oliver $ - Doin' Ya Thing, any of the countless Adele re-edits and my album of the year is unquestionably Jamie Woon's Mirror Writing. I'm really looking forward to next year, with loads going on already and plenty of really exciting stuff in the pipeline, most exciting of all is being asked back to compile the bonus disc on 2012's instalment of Beach House, which I really enjoying doing this year. Watch this space...† Anyway, I've been told to keep this to a minimum, so let's cut to the chase - here's wishing you all FANTASTIC CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR. Have fun & stay safe guys...
Well what an amazing year after playing in every continent in the World for Hed Kandi all being topped of by a South American tour at Pacha in Florianopolis, Brazil on New Years Eve. Through 2011 glammed up dancefloors in the greatest clubs globally have been packed, getting there groove on - from chilled out Disco to main room stompers, Hed Kandi has delivered a succession of chart topping hits and shows no sign of letting up as we head into 2012. Some of my stand out tracks from other camps include the looped up disco monster from Rogersentytwo - Take me Higher. The soothing infectious deep house groove Something Special from Miguel Campbell. Then my favourite producer of 2011 has to be Spaniard David Penn who has churned out just quality beats all year with Ocean Drive most likely my highlight from him. Personally you can keep up to date with my gigs worldwide and download my mixes for free via facebook.com/stuartojelay in the mean time, I hope everybody has a great Christmas and I’ll see you on the other side!
2011 for me has been probably the best year since I first started spinning the tunes, I've been working really hard on and off the decks producing my own tracks and re works, plus I've been sent to some amazing events across the UK and worldwide for Hed Kandi. My favourite event of 2011 has to be at Paradise Club in Mykonos, the atmosphere, the club, and all the people involved made it such a enjoyable gig that will always be up there as an all time favorite. There has been so many big tracks of 2011 and its been a hard choice of what is my favourite, but I think for me Avicii – Levels has to be the one, the man has endless talent, I cannot wait to see what he brings in 2012. My biggest event to finish off 2011 will be at the brand new Hed Kandi Bar in Brighton [UK] for Hed Kandi presents Glamourazzi NYE 2012. This will be the most outrageous new year celebration of my life and I’m going to unleash the biggest Kandi Anthems to bring in 2012. 2012 is already spinning trough my mind, I will be working even harder in the studio and producing more tracks to release on the Kandi dance floors so watch this space! You can catch me and my sounds on www.soundcloud.com/djrogerwilliams I hope you all have the best Christmas and New Year ever and I thank you all for your support. I’m looking forward to 2012! See you on the dancefloor!
2011 was an awesome year for house music! It's my duty to rock the dance floors worldwide and an honor to play some of the most exciting releases in years! My highlights throughout 2011 have been spinning the Hed Kandi Miami World Series in Brazil, in particular our very own Hed Kandi release Felix Leiter's track Sky High. The 2011 rework of E Samba was a sexy summer anthem and Ibiza classic. Then there was huge commercial success with tracks like Aloe Blacc, I Need A Dollar, Ray Foxx with The Trumpeter and of all the Adele remixes, Thomas Gold's version of Set Fire To The Rain was my favourite. For the year ahead?.. Well once I've recovered from playing our Hed Kandi, Glamourazzi party on New Years Eve at my favourite place north of the M25 - Gatecrasher! I'll be focusing on The Miami Winter Music Conference and Ultra Music Festival, both in March and promising to be huge! I'm also taking over from the incredible Des Paul to host The Hed Kandi Radio Show on Ministry Of Sound Radio, so you can join me there or swing by www.krystalroxx.com to be the first to hear new releases, watch this space... I wish everybody an amazing Christmas and I hope to see you on a dance floor soon......houseplanet.dj ROXX! Love KRYSTALROXX
I must say I shed a little tear when I dusted off my wellies from the cupboard this year.† That's right, summer was officially over.† And what a summer it was.† 2 gigs in Italy, Marbella, Bulgaria, Mykanos, and for those of you who blessed us with your gorgeousness at Es Paradis - Ibiza, I salute you, it was certainly a massive highlight! It will be hard to forget dropping Avicii's edit of 'Blessed' feat Shermanology, Felix Leiter's† 'Sky High' followed by Mick Lion's 'Save the World' (OneSaneMan Edit) and taking GREAT pleasure in admiring the small pile of high-heels discarded by the dancefloor.† My aim next year is to double the pile and perhaps even throw in a pair of crutches!! – a goal certainly achievable if the spectacular producers and artists at Hed Kandi continue doing what they're doing. † And with parties planned in every major party city, I envisage a monster 2012 for HK, so keep your ears peeled...and bring a spare pair of flipflops! Merry Christmas to you all!

Discovered by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike earlier this year at Tomorrowland, and immediately signed up to their Smash The House imprint, scorching new talent Wolfpack explode with their sensational new track Rising Moon. Due for release on STH in early 2012, Rising Moon is already gathering huge support from some of the biggest names around including Erick Morillo, Eddie Halliwell, Robbie Rivera and Markus Schulz, and on first listen it's not hard to see why. Beautifully constructed layers, some haunting, some organic, warm and melodic, weave themselves around in a kaleidoscope of gentle sound, gradually building, fluctuating and modulating towards a hands-in-the-air, spine-tingling crescendo of a finale. Managing to combine a classic feel with a modern arena-style 'attitude', Rising Moon marks the debut of a truly engaging and exciting new name to the blossoming Smash The House stable of artists.

Born to Dominican Parents in Queens, New York in 1969, Roger spent his younger years soaking up the musical influences that were the lifeblood of his home town. It was the diversity of these influences, from salsa, blues and soul to disco, rock and hip-hop, that solidified Roger’s dedication to representing this spectrum of musical styles. Thus, Roger’s sound is impossible to pigeon hole, refusing to fit the template of any one genre:
“I have always listened to a wide range of music, taking different influences from hundreds of styles. The diversity of the sounds I hear influence different lines of thought when I’m in the studio creating something new”
1990 saw the S-Man catapulted into international limelight with his first hit Luv Dancin, released on the eminent Strictly Rhythm label under the first of many monikers Underground Solution.
Roger’s creative evolution through the rest of the decade yielded a string of hits, and whilst working under his Transatlantic Soul alias, Roger conceived the enduring legend Release Yourself. Born in 1996 through club smash single Release Yo Self, the brand has grown into a worldwide phenomenon that embodies Roger’s deep belief in the liberty music can bring. Now an exclusive clubbing concept, a CD mix series, an IDMA winning podcast radio show that touches millions, and an annual residency that still dominates the scene in its 10thth season in Ibiza, Release Yourself continues to gather momentum as one of the most recognised and seminal brands on the global scene today.
Roger has remixed superstars such as Chic, Daft Punk, Diana Ross and The Police, contributed to the soundtrack of Hollywood movie Blade, and founded 3 record labels before his beloved Stealth. Since forming his opus label Stealth Records in 2002, the recognition has continued to roll in.
What are the most interesting and significant events that took place in the your (musical) life in 2011
My residency at Space in Ibiza this year was amazing and allowed me to bring Release Yourself more underground in vibe, EDC in Las Vegas was amazing this year especially with the new crop of young fans add my performances at Liv in Miami have added another dimension to my Miami following.
Please shed some light on your future plans for the year 2012.
2012 will be a year that I will be producing and releasing a lot of new music! I am excited about the collaborations I am working on at the moment, including artists like Medina, R3hab,Robbie Rivera and many others. We also are planning a huge Stealth event for Miami Music Week next year and getting ready for Ibiza next summer. Happy Holidays to all of u and a Blessed and Prosperous New Year!
The changing pace at which Thomas Gold’s year has taken shape has been literally breathtaking for the Berlin based artist. Not surprising then that Thomas was quickly snapped up by mammoth recording imprint Toolroom Records, who invited him to join their thoroughbred team of talent; as both a recording artist and resident DJ for their infamous ‘Toolroom Knights’ events alongside the likes of Fedde le Grand and Mark Knight. This strong start hasn’t gone unnoticed on the dancefloor either. 24 months on from breaking through into the international spotlight Thomas has nestled himself into the CD wallets of such luminaries as Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tiësto, David Guetta, Chuckie, John Dahlbäck and Sander van Doorn, whilst discovering equal support at club level by regularly chalking headlining slots at prestigious venues like Pacha, Privilege and Ministry of Sound.

All eyes are set on Hasselt’s Ethias Arena for the 17th of March 2012, where the very first Sensation in the new year will kick off. The acclaimed show Innerspace offers a spiritual journey inside the human mind, presenting an interactive happening wit dazzling show elements, and a handful of the finest international artists – whose sole aim is to blow up the dancefloor.
Mr. White
Sensation’s white-faced resident is always good for kicking off the party right with some tantalizing house grooves. After so much experience around the globe for Sensation, Mr. White knows exactly what makes you move.
Daniel Sanchez & Juan Sanchez
Brothers Daniel and Juan are totally on fire. Both are doing great on a solo level, with lots of great releases and gigs around the globe. When they team up behind the decks, they always get the dancefloor going with their infectuous tech-house sound.
Mark Knight
It’s not a surprise that UK based dj Mark Knight is one of the most popular house dj’s/producers in the world. His big room sound makes any arena throw their hands in the air. And his tracks are some of the most uplifting musical pieces around.
Afrojack
Topping the charts in America and many other countries, Afrojack has taken the Dutch house sound to higher levels. He may have got a Grammy for his Madonna remix, but he should really get the Nobelprize for spinning some of the most rocking dj-sets around.
Sander van Doorn
Dutch dj Sander van Doorn has shown his versatility and productional power with this year’s album Eleve11. But it’s behind the decks where he really puts these tracks to use and brings new meaning to the word bombastic.
Dada Life
These Swedish enfants terribles are totally bananas! They will do anything in their power to have every single person in a room scream, jump and shout. And with great tunes like Kick Out The Epic Motherf*cker and Unleash the F*cking Dada, you know they mean business.
MC Gee
Sensation’s very own MC Gee always offers the perfect vocal support for an unforgettable night. He’s all about firing up the crowd, something only he knows how to do best.
Tipped by the national media as ‘One’s To Watch’, and Beatport’s Artist tip in 2010, with rave reviews for 2011 Prok & Fitch have more than proved the journalists’ predictions right. The hottest DJ/producer pairing in house music have chalked up an impressive array of achievements over their 5 years working together, with annual worldwide tours including Brazil, North America and Australia alongside their full international DJ diary, a new Ministry of Sound residency looming and releasing both critically acclaimed and dancefloor-approved tracks.
Now focusing on their original productions, Ben Prok and James Fitch’s works have been spread across some of the biggest labels in the business: Axtone, Great Stuff, Toolroom, CR2, Stealth, 303Lovers, Ultra and more. With serious and diverse support from the likes of Carl Cox to the Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong to Tiesto, there’s few clubs worldwide which haven’t witnessed the Prok & Fitch reaction.
What are the most interesting and significant events that took place in the your (musical) life in 2011
It's always hard looking back on a year because so many things happen but it's been a really great year from lots of perspectives. We've been touring loads and been visiting loads of new countries which is great as it's an indication that our music is reaching these places with some really amazing shows too!! We made a conscious effort this year to do less remixes and focus on our own original material and it seems to have paid off, as the release we've put out have stayed around for longer and gained a lot more support. We've been collaborating in the studio with some really great producers too and have some really strong releases lined up for next year. We also put out our 1st sample pack with Loopmasters , which we worked our arses off for!! We've been getting lots of feedback from people saying it's thier 'go to' sample pack when it comes to looking for drums and other bits of inspiration, which shows the hard work paid off. Our Podcast has really gone from Strength to strength, with over 30.000 subscribers on itunes alone and climbing every day.
Please shed some light on your future plans for the year 2012.
We've got loads of really strong tracks lined up, both for our own Floorplay label and plenty of others: Great Stuff, Toolroom, 303Lovers and Stealth. We're also going to be mixing a compilation for Stealth which is going to have loads of exclusive tracks on from ourselves and other artists, plus some revisits to a few of our older tracks on the label. Should be really exciting!! We wanted to give something away to our fans so (painfully) decided to give away our 'Kosheen - Hide you' bootleg for a 'like' on our Facebook fan page. We had soooo many people asking for it, so we decided to give something back for all the support, go grab and have yourself a very merry xmas! We hope to see you in the near future for a few shots of Sambuca!!
Prok & Fitch have been rinsing their passports lately too – Rocking mainstages at many a festival, and playing at some of the most prestigious clubs in the world: Amnesia in Ibiza, Sankeys in Manchester, Pacha in Sao Paolo and Circus in Montreal. It’s difficult to find a country that they haven’t visited in the past 12 months.
Closer to home, the boys have also fulfilled one of their lifetime ambitions: to spin in the Wild Fruit arena at Brighton’s infamous Pride festival, which attracts over a quarter of a million revellers over one weekend, and a residency at the Ministry of Sound in London starting in 2012.
In the DJ booth, it’s all about the groove with these guys, and from the dancefloor it’s all eyes to the energy filled, 4 deck turntablism that’s as much as a show as it is an aural explosion. Whether they are on a line up with the underground crew keeping it deep and dark or playing in the big main rooms for the masses, their versatility and acceptance across genres has been key to their success to date!
An interview especially recorded at Courtyard Party at IVY in Sydney for HousePlanet.DJ featuring Hardwell and Angger Dimas.
Award-winning DJ, producer, label manager, music lover, DJMag Top 100 list newcomer and barely 23 years old… Let us present to you: Hardwell!
This talented genius, better known as Robbert van de Corput started his DJ career at the age of 13. After this blow-out Hardwell’s talent was picked up by a Dutch label and they signed him when he was only 14 years old. Shortly after his label signing he started to play at all mayor clubs in the Netherlands. For the last couple of years, Hardwell has been recognised by the industry as having a new and refreshing take on a scene that continues to evolve and seems to have an everlasting shelf life. His identity and musical development can be summed up in a single phrase, “Big Room House”. He has created his unique trademark as a DJ and producer around this sound. His growing reputation and success was picked up by party-minded people, they voted for him for the DJMAG Top 100 this year and he got a well deserved #24 spot in the Top 100 list, his first entry into their charts. They pinpointed him as one of the leaders of a new generation of DJs and unequivocally one to watch in the future. The growing momentum of his ‘fresh and open-minded’ label, Revealed Recordings, certainly proves their point, and fans can expect loads of exciting new releases very soon. Hardwell’s international breakthrough came with his Show Me Love vs. Be bootleg of Steve Angello and Laidback Luke’s track and Robin S’ classic. That bootleg became one of the biggest and most played dance hits of 2009. After launching his label Revealed Recordings in 2010, Hardwell also started with the release of the brand new Revealed compilation series. Hardwell presents Revealed gives you a clear vision about the sound Hardwell and the label represent. After two successful editions he will soon bring you volume three of the Revealed compilation series. On top of this killer list, Hardwell’s Eclectic Beatz compilations are some of the best selling mix albums of the last few years with 10 editions released in total. This summer he was also chosen to mix the 2011 Amnesia Ibiza compilation. Hardwell has already showcased his remix skills for top DJs such as Fedde Le Grand, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Bob Sinclar, Chris Lake, Funkerman, Laidback Luke, Sharam (Deep Dish), Steve Angello, Booty Luv, Flo Rida ft. Akon, Martin Solveig, Dada Life, Alex Gaudino ft. Kelly Rowland, Gareth Emery and Hi_Tack. 2011 remixes include huge smashes like Taio Cruz, Hangover (Hardwell Remix), Tiësto ft. BT, Love Comes Again (Hardwell 2011 Rework), Martin Solveig ft. Kele, Ready 2 Go (Hardwell Remix) and DJ Fresh ft. Sian Evans, Louder (Hardwell Remix). But that’s not all! Hardwell’s bootleg of Avicii Levels had 100.000 plays on Soundcloud in only four days. His position as a true crossover artist is crystal clear – he’s in demand by some of the world’s biggest artists to give their tunes that big room house vibe. This year Hardwell has continued to produce top records such as Encoded, a track with a teaser that was viewed over 700.000 times on YouTube, reached the Beatport Top 10 and gained major support from the biggest DJs worldwide. And did we mention his collaboration with Tiësto on hit record Zero 76 in February 2011? This banger went to #1 on Beatport and received a huge amount of airplay worldwide. That success was compounded by the release of his track Cobra. This tune went to #1 in the dance charts in Holland and stayed for a month and a half in the Beatport Progressive House Top 10 after being released in over 20 countries worldwide. The teaser of this track had 100.000 views on YouTube in one week. He also collaborated with Nicky Romero on a tune called Beta, another huge hit that achieved international success. Watch out for new track Spaceman landing soon, as it’s bound to make you pay attention! In March 2011 Hardwell launched his very own radio show, Hardwell On Air, giving everyone who hears it an extra boost for the weekend. The show is broadcasted on Holland’s top dance station, SLAM!FM, on Sirius XM in the US and on Radio FG France and Belgium with more stations to be announced soon. Next to Hardwell’s latest floorfillers, the show also provides a platform for new DJ talent and shows Hardwell’s status as a true tastemaker in the music industry. Behind the decks Hardwell never fails to deliver. His exceptional technical skills, variety of music, distinguished looks and that added personal touch make him stand out. These days he’s bringing it to the masses, with performances all over the world from Sydney to Miami and Ibiza to London. Hardwell recently toured with Tiësto through North America and made his debut at one of the worlds biggest dance events, ‘Sensation’ in Prague, Czech and Denmark and he did a full tour in the USA and played at EDC/Electric Zoo. His own event, ‘Hardwell Presents Revealed’ is well on its way to setting clubs worldwide on fire and upcoming gigs include an Extended USA Tour and headlining Energy 2012 “The Network”, one of the biggest indoor events in Europe and of course Revealed night at Set Miami
