Hi Hi all Swedes!

Have you been here before?

Yes, actually I have lived a year in Linköping, Sweden two years ago. I completed my business studies. I do not speak a word svenksa but I love the country and all the wonderful people here!

You have had some big hits and remixes them in recent years. Tell us what success behind them?

It is difficult to explain how it happened. I guess never make it so. I think it’s because I always try to get as much enjoyment in the songs as possible. If the audience has a big smile on his lips when I play my songs, I know 100% that it will work.

What do you think your greatest strength is when you produce?

I always try to think “but for the box.” That is what is key. I am constantly looking for new sounds and ideas when I produce.

Who has been the most fun to produce music with?

I think my new remix of Eric Morillo’s “Dancin ‘was great fun. I produced it, a year ago. It was a mix I did for my dj-sets but it was so hypad on the internet that Eric decided to release it on his Subliminal Records!
And my latest track “Fuckin Down” as I did with my friend Gregori Klosman was also very funny. We decided to do it only with a clock. Although it was hypad and we have released the Swedish labeln Joia Records. It is played by big names like Eric Morillo, David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Roger Sanchex among others.

Who have you learned most from and received most of the inspiration behind the turntables?

My own style is very house with a little tech-house and a touch of tribal. I am inspired by Luciano for his Ibiza Style. Morillo for his energy and Laidback Luke for his hip-hop tricks.

What gadget can you not go without when you go out and play?

I can not live without my MacBook Pro. It’s perfect for editing tracks, producing bootlegs when I’m in airports. I also like my little webcamera called “The Flip”. Cool to make live videos.

What do you think about the Swedish house scene?

I’m sure there is something magical in your breakfast. For that you svenksar is so terribly talented. From the ministry to new talents who Avicii and AN21. You really rock! Remind me to take with me some of your magic milk when I go home to France!

I really like Luciano, Riva Starr, Axwell, ATFC and Mastiksoul. Their works really inspires me!

What can we expect on Thursday?

I’ve been very busy in the studio the last 2 months and I have hundreds of new tracks to test. And of course my new track … A real gangster pianola is true that I had placed over! Do you ready for the real house, tech madness!

Spotlight Features

One of the best selling releases of 2009 was clearly Oxia's 'Sun Steps EP' for the superb 8Bit imprint, resting high on the download charts since its release. A legend in techno, tech house and the futuristic grooves, Oxia is an outstanding DJ as well as producer. His latest Beatport chart shows a slight move away from the tough as nails techno he was once known for, and into a much more percussive groove.

Anyone who's been involved in dance music since the early 90s knows the name Ian Pooley. From his early days with Definitive records and Force Inc., Ian Pooley has covered virtually every genre of music - from warehouse techno, downtempo, deep house and everything in between. His latest chart for Beatport is a fantastic portrayal into his current taste, which is chock full of funky house, deep grooves and future classics.
